I came home to Trysil at Thursday evening after a good day in Kleppen with happypro.
Early Friday morning I met Thomas Kleiven at the park, to get some pictures. It turned out pretty good.
Later that day, we got to practice for Sweetrumble. The jump was a bit different than the last time I hit it. It was more kick, bigger gap, but even better to do big tricks on, unfortunately I did not get the speed at all. If I didn’t overshoot I landed on the knuckle, so I decided to call the night early. The last thing I wanted was to get injured right before the Rumble.
The thing I really liked about the Sweetrumble was that it all happened fast and in the evening/night. I don’t like to get up at 6 am, to register, then practice for 2-3 hours, then 2 hours break, and then finally get to jump a couple of times in really flat light.
At the Rumble practice I didn’t pull any of good tricks. I tried the double cork 10 four or five times but always got that last cork to late so I went over to 12.
I didn’t have a good feeling at the top before my last run. I had a bad day and didn’t feel it at all. I dropped in with no expectations, but guess what! I landed the best 10 I’ve ever done.
I did not go to the finals, but got 10th place so stoked anyway.
It all finished with three meal dinner and one big after party.
